Last week I had the very fun opportunity to attend the 2015 Governor’s Ball, an event “exclusively designed for all industry professionals to celebrate Atlanta’s incredible events industry and all the hardworking people who make it thrive.” It was a nice night filled with food, lots of photo booth fun and dancing to the music of an AWESOME band!
The main event was held at The Engine Room in Monroe, Georgia. If you are planning on having a rustic themed wedding, you should check this place out! There is so much history involved with this building and much of it’s wood floors, columns and sliding fire doors are still intact.
My fellow event pro, Denise of Truso Weddings was there and we had fun in the photo booth.
Rubert’s Orchestra was the band playing songs of the past, as well as songs of the time now. I must say, this band was AMAZING! I really enjoyed them and oh my gosh… the singers have some serious talents!!
My other fellow event friend, Terri of Everything and More Events did the flowers! I especially loved how she hung her pretty flowers from the top of a window.
The furniture and the decor were beautiful! The food was made from scratch and the macaroni and cheese was soooo very good and reeeally cheesy. I would have gladly taken some of that stuff home!
I really enjoyed this night out. It’s different being on the other side of the party, being the guest and being taken care of. It was really fun and all the vendors involved, did a wonderful job showcasing their beautiful work!
