Recently, Weddington Way had a launch party, in their new Atlanta store at Lenox Mall. The event was hosted by Event Pod, “a networking group for wedding and event professionals”. Several of the group’s wedding pros came to together to welcome them to our city and created a beautiful party, showcasing the Weddington Way brand. In my opinion, these professionals showed up and showed off; in a good way!!
In case you didn’t make it out to the launch party, I’m sharing a few pictures of all the pretty details that these awesome wedding pros put together! Vania Stoyanova was the photographer for the event and I must say: visit her website, because her pictures are GORGEOUS!!
“Friends don’t let friends wear ugly bridesmaid dresses.”
– Weddington Way
To set the stage for this event, Crush provided this beautiful vintage couch, that was complimented with floral garlands; and decorative spheres hanging from the ceiling. This was the backdrop for many pictures and selfies, but also the focal point for the event!
It’s not a true party, until you have a little bubbly! Prosecco and Moscato were at the champagne bar and it was absolutely delicious! The hors d’oeuvres were just a little taste of delicacy and they did not disappoint. My favorite was the bruchetta!
The dessert bar was presented in very nice towers of sweetness. There were macaroons, cake samples and amazingly delicious chocolate bars, with strawberries sprinkled on top. I’ve never had something like this before, but I know I want to have the opportunity to taste it again!!
A dark wood, large farm table, sat in the center of the room and it was adorned with pretty table settings. I would have enjoyed sitting down to a nice meal, being served from these plates! I think the table settings were beautiful! Don’t you think?
There were plenty of jewelry options to style with the bridesmaid dresses. I even found a beautiful, beautiful necklace, that will soon be headed to my wish list!
The star of the event were the dresses! And there were plenty of those to go around! There were so many dress styles, options and colors that I’m sure any girl could find something to like! I especially liked the rack of blush color dresses; so pretty!
If you’re looking for a bridesmaid dress, that you would be more than happy to walk down the aisle in, Weddington Way is the place for you! Here are a few more perks to getting a your bridesmaid dress at Weddington Way:

Do you think writing your vows is hard? When I was planning my wedding, I Googled a few examples of wedding vows and nothing that I found really resonated with me. I wanted to share how I felt, in my own words, in my own way; not what someone else had written for me as a blueprint. Marriage vows are supposed to be a promise to the person you are marring, and depending on who you are, who you are together, your situation, what you believe and really; a whole myriad of other things, what you promise to that person should be written from the heart, not taken from the hundreds of already made vows that are out there. I don’t think it’s hard to write your vows; it just has to come from the heart! Vows are promises you making to each other; words don’t have to be perfect or sound majestic. It’s not for show!
If you want a little help in writing your vows, besides my advice to make it come from the heart, I have a great idea for you! Remember those books and stories you read as a child? Go read one and you’ll find that a lot of heart and love is in those pages!
Do you remember some of these?
“How do you spell love?” – Piglet
“You don’t spell it, you feel it” – Pooh
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” – Dr. Seuss
Guess How Much I Love You
I love you all the way down the lane as far as the river, cried Little Nutbrown Hare.
I love you across the river and over the hills, said Big Nutbrown Hare.
That’s very far, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. He was almost too sleepy to think anymore. Then he looked beyond the thorn bushes, out into the big dark night. Nothing could be farther than the sky.
I love you right up to the moon, he said, and closed his eyes.
Oh, that’s far, said Big Nutbrown Hare. That is very, very far.
Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves. He leaned over and kissed him good night. Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile, I love you right up to the moon and back.

As a wedding planner, I stay updated on ALL things wedding and I’m a little obsessed when it comes to wedding details; but what wedding planner isn’t? It’s something that brings a smile to our face and ignites that fire inside our souls; it’s part of our passion! Today that fire is burning heavily, because I’m so excited to chat with you today about 2015 wedding trends that I’m excited about!
Chandeliers: Oh my gosh, I adore a beautifully hanging chandelier! They make me feel like I’m in a fancy place and they bring a certain elegance to a room. This year chandeliers will be popular, not just indoors of a fancy ballroom, but outdoors as well! Chandeliers hanging from tree limbs, bringing a sense of whimsy and magic to an outdoor space! Also: chandeliers won’t be the typical ones we are used to seeing. There will be floral chandeliers and chandeliers made from ribbon. I’m so excited!
Industrial Chic: These days many people are taking an empty old building and turning it into a beautiful space for a wedding. I’ve seen a lot of industrial and lofts turned into an event venue, here in Georgia. I like the concept! It brings new life to a space, a new take on design. These places usually are perfect for you brides that love the rustic look! I recently attended an event at a very industrial looking venue for The Governor’s Ball, which was at the very spacious Engine Room.
Sequins: Now if you know me, you know I like glitter and sparkle! Sequined table cloths are going to be popular! It can instantly give a very formal or traditional wedding, an element of fun! I absolutely LOVE this trend and will be using it for my own events!
Glamorous Vintage: The vintage theme has been a very popular trend for awhile now, but this year, instead of going all burlap and mason jars, the theme is headed to a more glamorous style! I’m really excited about this, because I have always loved this theme and I have an appreciation for vintage things!
Whimsical Theme: Bringing the outdoors in, is what the whimsical theme is all about! I love this, because I really like outdoor weddings that really make an outdoor space feel like you’ve been transported to a magical outdoor wonderland! I also really like the design elements: flowers, moss, and twinkle lights!
Light Rose: I’ve been seeing this color pop up on wedding gowns! The traditional white gown doesn’t have to be the one and only color option for a wedding gown. Although I love these blush colored gowns; it’s one wedding tradition I wouldn’t change! Light rose is also a trend for wedding color themes; which I’m all for because, pink is my favorite color!
So these are a few wedding trends of 2015 that I’m excited about! What about you? What are you excited to see? What trends are you tired of seeing? If you want to know more wedding trends for 2015, Mindy Weiss has her favorites in the video below:
*Come back next week to chat about another wedding trend; it’s so cute! I think you will like it; plus they’ll be a giveaway involved!
